What’s with this sudden surge of boisterous female protagonists in Hindi cinema? These days you can hardly find the Bollywood actresses in the “Mother India” avatar. Be it Dev D’s Paro, Kaminey’s Sweety, or Fashions’s Meghna, all of them had the much needed chutzpah that never existed in the films of yesteryears, as the heroine was always busy prancing around the trees and playing the dolled up ideal love interest of the hero. Even Deepika’s character in Love Aaj Kal, was quite refreshing that way. For a change, we were not served with the usual melodramatic take on love that is so synonymous with Bollywood.

Huh! Mother India avatar!.....For female protagonists their figure and exposure and for males their six packs irrespective of their acting skill decides their surge in Bollywood.....and i hope people havent still forgotten Priyanka's sizzling appearance in Aiteraz.
